1:20 am.

As of yesterday, I am in my 27th week of pregnancy!
It's going by so fast and at the same time, so slow. I feel like I was living the miserable moment I like to call my 3 months of morning sickness so long ago!... and at the same time I feel like he's never going to get here. I can't wait until he's here. I can't wait to meet my son!
We found out the baby is going to be born with Achondroplasia Dwarfism, just like Daddy! It's amazing news! We thought he was going to be average size up until an ultrasound at 24 weeks. Either way doesn't really matter. Well, that's what I thought until I started doing research on growth and development in children with Achondroplasia. I started with the LPA website: Lpaonline.org There I found pages and pages of information I haven't even made a dent in yet. I also joined the yahoo group Parents of Little People. I asked the group " If you are an average sized women...How was your labor and delivery experience with an Achon?" SOOO many parents (Mothers and Fathers) got back to me so fast! All of their experiences where so different but definitely helped me so much! I am so thankful to be able to access so much information and support from all over the world.

That's why I decided to start this whole blog thing. To share my experience like so many other proud parents and hopefully in the future help another Mother in my situation with what she is looking for. I do feel though as if I have a certain advantage. My husband has Achondroplasia and I have my Mother-in-Law (also Achon) to go to for any specific advice. I just find comfort is talking with other parents my age who are either pregnant with or raising a child with dwarfism.
That's enough.
